Background
Reconnect is a self-initiated project designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs regain their connection with their brands after the challenges of the pandemic.
By refreshing their visual identities, the project aimed to reignite motivation and strengthen their market presence—all while keeping the work affordable. To support them, projects were offered at social rates or even free of charge.
As the creator of this initiative, my role was to understand each entrepreneur’s vision—what they wanted to communicate, their personal preferences, and the audience they aimed to reach. I collaborated with professionals from diverse fields, including education, health, and entertainment. Some of my favorite projects are showcased below.
Carol Mrad
Carol is a passionate educator dedicated to innovating her teaching methods. For her visual identity, I chose a vibrant palette of blue, pink, and yellow to symbolize diversity and creativity. The brushstroke texture was incorporated to convey dynamism and continuous growth, reflecting her ever-evolving approach to education.
Beatriz Macedo
Another example is Beatriz, a parenting educator who supports caregivers in raising children. For her visual identity, I selected warm colors and sans-serif fonts to evoke a sense of warmth, comfort, and approachability, ensuring both readability and visual appeal.
I also served as the editor of the book "Creating Incredible Children", where I developed the visual identity, curated the color palette, designed the layout, and refined the content. The focus was on creating a welcoming and reassuring experience for parents, the intended audience.
Teresa Telles
Lastly, I collaborated with Teresa Telles, a nutritionist specializing in pregnancy, on her eBook "Gestating in the Best Form." For this project, I developed the visual identity, designed the layout, and contributed to the revision process.
The logo was crafted to symbolize a maternal figure embracing and protecting her child, while a soft color palette was chosen to evoke stability, elegance, and a sense of safety within the healthcare context.
Conclusion
Reconnect was more than just a design project—it was an opportunity to empower entrepreneurs by reigniting their passion for their businesses. By crafting thoughtful and meaningful visual identities, the initiative helped professionals from various fields strengthen their brand presence and communicate their values effectively.
This experience not only provided creative solutions but also fostered deeper connections between businesses and their audiences, making design an accessible tool for growth and renewal.
